Exercise Designer
New Features
Automatic Intelligence Integration: When you select a threat type during scenario design, Preppr automatically gathers the most recent intelligence related to that threat—covering the last 12 months—from only reputable sources such as government and academic outlets. This information is processed and incorporated to inform scenario details, inject ideas, and discussion questions that reflect current incident patterns and best practices. You will see a working indicator as the system gathers intelligence; if this step fails, scenario creation continues without interruption. The intelligence is used behind the scenes, and raw source data is never shown.
Add Documents in Exercise Designer Introduction Step: You can now add documents directly to the Exercise Designer during the Introduction step by selecting from available files or uploading new ones using the enhanced side bar actions menu. This process includes a warning in the tools bar if the total document size exceeds 2,000,000 characters. Once documents are added, you'll receive a prompt in the chat asking how you want to incorporate them into your exercise design. The documents are structured in a format ready for downstream use, and after the Introduction step, adding more documents is disabled. Document inclusion leverages an upgraded model context window to support larger files as needed. There is no direct chat with the document contents at this stage; selection and inclusion occur through the tools menu.
Lock Exercises: Exercises are now automatically locked when you enter the exercise designer, preventing other team members from making changes at the same time. A lock icon appears in the dashboard for all users, with a tooltip showing who is actively editing. If you select a locked exercise, you are taken to a read-only overview where content can be reviewed but not edited. Locks expire automatically five minutes after the last user leaves the editor, and a warning appears if inactivity could lead to a timeout while editing. In urgent cases, authorized team members can override the lock to start editing.
Question Generation Options in Exercise Designer: You can now choose how questions are generated in the Questions step of the Exercise Designer. Select from three modes: General Questions for high-level queries, Inject-Specific Questions to focus on particular injects (with the ability to work one at a time), or a Combination of Both for a comprehensive set. This selection allows you to shape the nature and specificity of the questions generated during exercise planning.
MSEL Table Display Improvements in Exercise Designer: In the MSEL step of the Exercise Designer, the generated MSEL content is now consistently rendered only as a structured table on the content (right) side, removing the previous table output from the conversation (left) side. The table output on the right is designed to be fully visible within the panel, eliminating the need for horizontal scrolling for most table configurations. When you request "Include ALL injects," all injects are now reliably represented in the table.
Redesigned MSEL Table Display: The MSEL table in the ED has been redesigned to improve readability. The updated layout reduces the number of visible columns and adjusts the table's placement to accommodate the chat window, making it easier for you to view and interact with the table alongside other content.
Aligning Objectives to Multiple Capabilities: You can now align a single objective to multiple capabilities within the exercise interface. Previously, objectives were restricted to one capability, but this bug has been resolved so that you can connect each objective to any relevant capabilities as needed.
Joint Commission Capability Framework in Exercise Builder: You can now select the Joint Commission Emergency Management (EM) standards as a capability framework when creating or editing an exercise. Joint Commission EM standard codes and their associated text are included, enabling you to reference these requirements directly within exercise objectives and, where appropriate, in inject content. Standard codes such as EM.01.01.01 are displayed next to related content, reflecting your framework selection throughout the exercise workflow.
Functional Group Questions Automatically Surfaced During Question Development: Functional Group questions now appear automatically during the Questions step in the Exercise Designer when you are creating modules. When module objectives or scenarios indicate that Functional Group questions are relevant, these will be suggested without requiring manual prompts. The assistant no longer resists or delays surfacing these questions and includes them proactively alongside other applicable question types.
Improvements
Updated Exercise Flow: Injects Now Precede Questions and Module Descriptions: The exercise builder workflow now places the Injects step before Module Questions and Module Descriptions. After creating modules, you design detailed injects—scenario events with timing, locations, and involved agencies—which serve as the foundation for subsequent discussion questions. The Questions step then references these injects directly, ensuring each prompt addresses specific planned events. The Module Descriptions step remains last, so its content can accurately incorporate both injects and questions. Each step in the new sequence automatically references information defined in previous steps, supporting the creation of cohesive and realistic exercises.
Improved Exercise Visibility in Manage Exercises: All exercises are now displayed together on the Manage Exercises page, matching the layout found in the dashboard. The scroll window has been removed, so you can view and manage multiple exercises at once without needing to scroll within a confined area.
Reduced Credit Consumption in Exercise Designer with Intel Feature: When designing exercises with Intel, you now experience consistent credit usage that allows progress through all module steps. The issue causing accounts to exhaust credits prematurely—before module design—has been resolved, so you can complete workflows as expected without unusual credit deductions.
Custom Instructions Field Synchronization: The new custom instructions field for Preppr Intell now carries over seamlessly into the ED steps. When you save custom instructions during the Preppr Intell process, the entered information appears automatically in the corresponding ED step fields without requiring additional input or refresh.
Fixes
Exercise Designer Access Restored for Team Members: Invited team members on a Team subscription can now successfully access and use the Exercise Designer. The interface loads correctly when a non-admin team member starts a new exercise, allowing full participation in exercise creation.
Progress Bar Position Stability: The progress bar now consistently displays in the correct position on all module pages. Previously, users experienced an issue where the progress bar unexpectedly jumped to the bottom upon entering a new module. This behavior has been resolved so the progress bar accurately reflects your current progress throughout the course.
Exercise Designer Progression Fixes: The exercise template builder now correctly enables the "Save & Continue" button throughout all modules and maintains step-to-step progress tracking. As you move through each module, the progress bar updates in sync with your actions, and modules no longer skip steps or produce inconsistent outputs. Previous manual workarounds are no longer needed, as moving from start to finish in the builder triggers content generation automatically and outputs are structured as intended.
Dashboard Exercise Saving: You can now reliably save exercises to your dashboard after selecting 'save & continue.' Once saved, completed exercise sessions will appear on your dashboard as expected when you return.
Preppr Intel Now Functional in ED: Preppr Intel now operates as expected within the ED environment. You can access and utilize Preppr Intel features without experiencing errors or disruptions. For further details or a visual walkthrough, see the linked video demonstration.
Ask Preppr Enhancements
New Features
Ask Preppr Actions: Ask Preppr Actions display three clickable prompt suggestions in the main chat area when you open a new conversation and the chat is empty. Each suggestion appears as a box; clicking any box will start a new conversation using a predefined system prompt. The suggestions automatically disappear once you select one or submit your own input.
Direct Chat Access in Ask Preppr: You can now open Ask Preppr chat directly from the side menu without selecting a document first. This update separates chat and document navigation: the "Ask Preppr" menu option leads straight to the chat interface for general conversations, while a new "Documents" menu item provides direct access to the document library. The existing workflow for starting a chat with a specific document remains available, and you can still reference or attach documents within any chat session.
Ask Preppr Chat History: You can now view and return to previous chats in Ask Preppr. The left sidebar displays your chat history, grouped by time periods: Today, Last week, Last month, and Earlier. Selecting any conversation restores its full context, allowing you to pick up where you left off. Previous chats retain all their exchanged information. Clicking the document icon within a chat shows the documents attached to that conversation and lets you add new ones.
Save Ask Preppr Chat Outputs to Custom Instructions: A new "Save to Custom Instructions" button appears with each answer in Ask Preppr chat. Selecting this button stores the chat output in a dedicated "Ask Preppr" section within your custom instructions. Multiple outputs can be saved in a stack, making past results accessible in the exercise designer. Only the chat answer text is saved, excluding the user input, and the system displays the most recent or relevant outputs based on token limits.
Copy All Button for Intelligence Summaries: You can now copy the entire response from Preppr Intelligence summaries using a new clipboard icon displayed next to the final answer. A single click copies the full summary to your clipboard and triggers a visual confirmation. This feature is available across all devices and browsers.
Save to Custom Instructions Field(s): A new option lets you save the final Intelligence answer directly into a dedicated Personalize Preppr field in the exercise designer. You can use the adjacent icon or button next to Intelligence summaries to transfer the final answer to the Personalize Preppr form, with a confirmation message shown upon successful completion.
Direct Ask Preppr Chat UI Updates: The Ask Preppr screen now includes action boxes for easier task selection and navigation. The introductory message has been updated for improved clarity. A threat intelligence toggle appears in the settings toolbar in both Ask Preppr and ED; it is currently disabled in Ask Preppr, and hovering displays a "coming soon" message.
Improvements
Gemini 2.5 Pro Set as Default Model in Ask Preppr: When you start a new chat in Ask Preppr, Gemini 2.5 Pro is now automatically selected as the default model instead of GPT-4o. You can continue to switch to other available models at any time during your conversation.
Preppr Intelligence Claude 4 Upgrade: Preppr Intelligence now uses Claude Sonnet 4 (claude-sonnet-4-20250514) as its underlying model, replacing the previous Claude 3.7 Sonnet version. This update applies automatically to all users and ensures responses are generated with the new version.
Improved Handling for Document Uploads in Chat: Document uploads through the chat now correctly recognize supported files, including large documents and CSVs with extensive records. When document processing fails during upload, you receive a clear error message instead of uncertain or misleading answers in chat.
Free Trial Query Limit for Preppr Intelligence: Free trial accounts are now limited to four queries with Preppr Intelligence. You see a counter displaying your remaining queries (e.g., 2/4 queries remaining). Attempting to submit a fifth query prompts a message explaining that you are out of credits and invites you to sign up for a solo account. The issue where Deepnews queries did not reference previous messages has been resolved. Only final Deepnews answers are now included in the chat history, rather than the full set of Deepnews responses.
Preppr Intel Credit Consumption: Preppr Intel queries now require credits from your available credit pool. Each request to Preppr Intel deducts 100 credits. When your credits run out, Preppr Intel becomes unavailable and you see a message prompting you to purchase more credits.
Fixes
Chat History Clearing on New Session: When you start a new chat in Ask Preppr, all previous messages are now cleared automatically. Each new session opens to an empty chat window, ensuring that earlier conversations no longer remain visible after clicking "New Chat."
Uploaded Documents Persistence in Ask Preppr Doc Chat: Previously uploaded documents in the Ask Preppr doc chat feature now remain visible and accessible after logging out and logging back in. Your document list persists when you return to the doc chat interface, so all previously uploaded files can be accessed and referenced without interruption.
Improved Output Scrolling in Intelligence Generation: When generating intelligence summaries, the display now remains at the top of the output instead of jumping to the bottom as new content appears. You can read generated content at your own pace without being forced to scroll automatically.
Team & Collaboration Features
New Features
Collaborate Integration Into Teams: Trial sites now receive teams accounts with access to Collaborate. Collaborate is available only to participants in trial and appears within their team accounts. When participants complete Collaborate exercises, these are displayed in the Team exercise tab on the dashboard and exercise manager page for admins and campaign managers, indicated by a label or icon for Collaborate.
Collaborate Account Logic & Access: Collaborate introduces distinct account roles for accessing project campaigns. Account admins are automatically designated as both team admins and campaign managers and can move seamlessly between Collaborate and the Preppr app. Campaign managers are assigned from team members by a universal admin and also have integrated navigation and SSO support. Contributor accounts use unique campaign links to access only the relevant campaign's Collaborate space; they have a login and sign-up flow dedicated to Collaborate, but can opt in for a full Preppr account if desired. Existing Preppr users gain a direct Collaborate tab within their current account, while all account types support Single Sign-On.
Collaborate: Campaign List and Detailed View: You can now view and manage campaigns through a new centralized dashboard in the Collaborate feature. The campaigns page displays all campaigns in a card format, with key details such as name, status (including "Set up", "Completed", and active states), contributors count, exercise type, completion rate with visual indicators, and deadlines. Campaigns are searchable by name and can be filtered by criteria such as status or type. Each campaign card includes options to initiate integrated exercise design or view detailed campaign information. The detailed campaign view presents the campaign description, meta information, deadline display, and progress tracking. Contributor management is enhanced with a limit indicator, a table showing contributor details, their status, as well as integrated search, filtering, and contributor management actions. Action buttons allow you to initiate design or set campaign deadlines and reminders directly from these views.
Invite and Manage Contributors (Campaign Manager): Campaign managers can now invite up to 10 contributors directly from the "Add Contributors" button using an invitation form that collects full name, email, organization, and role. Invited contributors appear instantly in the contributor list with an "Invited" status, and the invite button is disabled when the maximum is reached. Selecting "Manage" on a contributor opens a detail panel showing their name, email, assigned role, status, reasoning for role assignment, and a progress bar for completion rate. Contributors can be removed through this panel, with a confirmation dialog and status message to prevent accidental deletion and free up slots for new invites.
Contributor: Account Setup: Contributor account setup now supports invitation-based onboarding. Contributors receive email notifications from mailer@preppr.ai when invited to join a campaign, including campaign and manager details, with a link to start account creation or login. The sign-up form displays the organizer's name, organization, and campaign context. Contributors complete a registration form with pre-filled email and enter additional details, including consent to terms. After registration, contributors get immediate access to the invited campaign. Returning contributors with an existing account are directed to the login page, and upon authentication, see the collaboration tab in the left toolbar.
Contributor Settings: You can update your name, email, and profile picture directly from the Contributor Settings page. Notification preferences are now accessible in the same area, allowing you to tailor which alerts you receive.
Contributor Account Access: Contributor accounts provide access exclusively to the Collaborate space, where you receive unique campaign links with the relevant campaign ID and can toggle between multiple campaigns as assigned. When logging in or signing up, you are directed only to the Collaborate section; attempts to register with an existing email prompt a login notice and do not route to the main Preppr dashboard. Single sign-on (SSO) is supported for streamlined authentication. When a toggle is present, you can switch over to the main Preppr app if you have a Teams or Solo account, or are redirected to the pricing page if no suitable account is found.
Shared Exercises in Team Accounts: All exercises you create are now visible and accessible to every member of your team account. Any team member can browse, open, and work with exercises added by others in the same team, providing full visibility within the group.
Team Document Library: The Team Document Library introduces a unified workspace tag system for organizing documents. You can add or remove any document from team libraries at any time, with all team members sharing equal permissions—no admin approval or separate permission management required. During document upload, workspace tags such as "Team" or "Personal" can be set, allowing you to define where each document belongs. For documents already in your library, clicking the workspace icon lets you update tags instantly, moving documents between personal and team areas as needed. Tag changes take effect immediately and the document library views update based on your selection. The interface clearly displays each document's current workspace status.
Pre-Seeded Exercises for Team Accounts: Preloaded exercises previously limited to solo accounts are now available for team users. When you create a new team account, you will see the same set of three starter exercises pre-seeded in your workspace.
Individual Starter Exercises for All Team Members: Starter exercises are now distributed at the individual user level. Each team member receives their own set of starter exercises upon joining, regardless of whether other users on the account have completed them. Starter exercises are no longer depleted when completed by admins or other team members, ensuring everyone has access to their own onboarding experience.
Admin Level Custom Instructions: Admin-level Custom Instructions introduce a hierarchical system where administrators set organization-wide default instructions that pre-populate team member profiles. Users see these defaults in their own profiles and can edit them as needed, but any updates made by administrators will overwrite user custom instructions. Users can also override these instructions at the individual exercise level without affecting profile or admin settings. The Admin Custom Instructions form includes guided placeholders for organizational focus, threats and hazards, framework preferences, goals, resource needs, and recent lessons learned.
Updated Role Titles in Collaborate: Your role display now includes both your team and Collaborate roles for improved clarity. Admins will see both the Campaign Manager and Admin roles, while Campaign Managers will see both Team Member and Campaign Manager roles. The term "Standard User" has been updated to "Team Member" everywhere for consistency.
Improvements
Admin: Manage Users and Permissions: The enhanced admin user management interface allows you to invite new team members by email, assign Campaign Manager or Standard User roles during the invitation workflow, and include phone number information for each member. You can view and edit detailed member profiles containing full contact information, change member roles, and revoke access as needed. Search and filter capabilities are now available within the member list to help locate users by name, email, phone, or role, and to filter by role type. For this release, Campaign Managers can access only the campaigns they have created.
Fixes
Team Member Login for Free Trials: Team members on free trial accounts can now log in successfully using their validated email addresses. Previously, login attempts failed for these users even with correct credentials.
Lock Icon Visibility Update for Account Types: Solo accounts no longer display the lock icon previously used to indicate access restrictions. The lock icon now appears exclusively for team accounts where permission boundaries exist.
Document Management

Improvements
Faster PDF Processing for Large Documents: You can now upload PDF documents up to 200 pages, and document processing has been significantly accelerated. Longer uploads complete more quickly, and large files of up to 200 pages are handled smoothly without error messages during the upload process.
Fixes
Documents: Delete Button Restored in Upload Section: The delete button is now visible in the upload section on the documents page. When you select one or more uploaded documents, the delete option appears, allowing you to remove selected files. This resolves an issue where the delete button did not display after uploading documents, affecting both staging and production environments.
Documents Delete Modal Text Alignment: The text within the delete modal on the documents page now displays fully inside the modal and with proper alignment when you select multiple documents for deletion.
Improved Access to Upload and Settings Buttons on Long Document Lists: The document list now has a fixed height with its own scroll bar, so you can always reach the upload button and workspace settings regardless of how many documents are displayed. This update also applies the same scrolling treatment to other long tables, such as on the exercises page.
Account Management & Authentication
New Features
SSO Login and Signup Flow Improvements: The SSO login and signup flows for Google and other SSO identity providers now support new user signups, ensuring consistent account creation and reliable login behavior. You can sign up and log in using SSO, and accounts created through SSO exhibit the same stable experience as those with credential-based authentication.
Improvements
Case Insensitivity for Login Email: Login now accepts email addresses regardless of letter casing. Whether you enter uppercase, lowercase, or a mix of both, the system recognizes your email and proceeds accordingly.
Updated Signup Form Fields: The signup form now includes optional fields for "Organization" and "Country". You can enter your organization's name and your country, or continue without filling in these details. The solo or team account selection has been removed from the form, and you can scroll to view all available fields and information.
Confirm Password Field on Sign-up Form: A new "Confirm Password" field appears below the Password field on the sign-up form. As you type, real-time validation checks that both password fields match and displays a clear error message if there is a mismatch. Form submission is blocked until the passwords match, and the field styling and tab order are consistent with the rest of the form.
Accurate Pricing in Free Trial and Subscription Expiration Emails: Free trial and subscription expiration emails now display the actual amount you will be charged, taking into account any discount codes, promotions, or special pricing applied to your account. The email templates and generation system have been updated to ensure the price shown matches your specific subscription, including all user-specific adjustments across all subscription tiers.
Automatic Subscription Renewal and Payment Receipt Emails: Customers now receive an email notification 7 days before their subscription is renewed, and a payment receipt email immediately after renewal. These notifications ensure you have clear visibility of upcoming payments and confirmation of successful renewals.
Improved Signup Email Validation: Signup confirmation and welcome emails are now sent only after a user's account has been successfully created. If there is an error during signup and the account is not created—such as when the email already exists or there is an SSO conflict—no email is sent.
Consultant Accounts Consolidated into Enterprise Accounts: Consultant account plans are now categorized under the enterprise account tier across the website and app. "Consultant" is no longer available as a standalone account type. Inquiries or selections related to consultant accounts now redirect to the enterprise tier, and any "learn more" actions open the website pricing page.
Fixes
Credit Account Initialization and Error Handling Improvements: New accounts now automatically receive default credit settings during the signup process, preventing credit-related errors due to missing account configurations. Existing users with valid credit balances are no longer blocked by invalid or absent credit settings. Error messaging for negative balances remains unchanged for users who exceed their available credit.
Credits are Zeroing for Current Users and Users Changing from Free Trial: Credits now reset to zero when your subscription status changes from a free trial to a paid plan, or if you are an existing user switching plans. Any unused trial or previous plan credits will be automatically cleared at the moment your new subscription begins.
Password Reset for Valid Accounts Restored: Users requesting a password reset via the "Forgot Password" flow now receive the expected confirmation and email when submitting the form for valid accounts. The issue causing valid users to encounter errors and preventing password reset completion has been resolved.
Credit Balance Protection for Paid Users: Paid annual team users now retain their existing credit balances upon monthly renewals and throughout the annual billing cycle. A continuous background check monitors credit behavior and triggers alerts if irregularities are detected.
Team User Password Reveal on Sign In: Team users can now reveal their password on the sign in page using the show/hide toggle in the password field. This matches the existing experience for solo users, allowing you to check your entry before submitting your credentials.
Settings & Personalization
New Features
Updated Personalize Preppr Shortcut: The Personalize Preppr shortcut in the left sidebar now opens a pop-up tray that contains all the information and options you find in the personalize Preppr section of settings. When you select the shortcut, the tray appears over your current page, and clicking outside the tray closes it immediately. This update reflects the new settings page design and offers a more consistent experience when adding custom instructions to Preppr.
Improvements
Updated Individual Settings Page: The individual settings page has been redesigned for team admins, team members, and solo account users. You will now see a reorganized submenu under Personal on the left toolbar that includes profile instructions, subscription management, and personalization options. The admin button only appears for team admins; organization settings are hidden from other users. The settings page can be accessed via the settings button on the bottom left toolbar or from the profile dropdown by selecting your email address.
Status Page Link on Sign In Form: You can now find a link to the Preppr status page directly beneath the sign-up box on the sign-in form. The link is displayed in small grey text labeled "Preppr Status."

User Interface & Experience
New Features
Help Icon: Arcade Tutorial Collection: A new help button is now available on every page, replacing the previous tool tips button in the top right of the application. Clicking the help button takes you directly to the Arcade tutorial collection (https://app.arcade.software/share/collections/nIc8DRcGu7Dtk1ATdQsj). The help icon matches the current designs and does not include the bell icon or other new buttons.
Improvements

Fixes
Consistent Fonts in SitMan Export: The SitMan export document now applies consistent fonts throughout all sections. You will see matching text styles across headings, lists, and body content when generating the document from your scenario.
Sitman Formatting Improvements: Font sizes in Sitman-generated documents now remain consistent throughout. The MSEL table displays in a readable format without rendering issues.
Technical & Infrastructure
New Features
SOC2 Compliance Status Indicator: You can now view an at-a-glance indicator for SOC2 compliance status directly within the Preppr Trust Center at https://trust.preppr.ai/. This status displays the current state of SOC2 audit readiness and links to a detailed breakdown of completed and pending controls.
Improvements
Deepgram API: Token-Based Authentication Migration: All Deepgram API integrations now use token-based authentication in place of temporary API keys. The implementation updates all SDKs to their required minimum versions and routes authentication through the new token system according to Deepgram's migration requirements. You interact with Deepgram endpoints using the updated authentication flow, and temporary API keys are no longer generated or accepted.
